Fern is the founder of the AI Foundations Group and the VP of Research at TDWI. She advises and coaches executives and boards, teaches leaders and practitioners, and speaks widely about data, technology, governance, and organizational foundations required to make AI work, including the redesign of work.
A former data scientist and university professor, Fern has spent her career helping organizations understand and use emerging technologies. She is the author of Data Makes the World Go ‘Round: The Data, Tech, and Trust Behind AI Success (Wiley). She has published hundreds of articles, papers, and research reports on data, analytics, and AI. She is a frequent speaker on webcasts, podcasts, and at events.
